COOKIE POLICY
Last Updated: 04.10.2026
1. Scope
This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on www.spectrum-imagery.com (the “Website”).
The Website is operated by Phillip Greißel, operating under the name Spectrum Imagery.
This Cookie Policy supplements the Privacy Policy and should be read together with it.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on a visitor’s device when a website is accessed. Similar technologies, such as local storage and session storage, may perform comparable functions.
Cookies can be used to operate the Website securely, remember visitor preferences, provide shopping and checkout functionality, and collect information about how the Website is used.
3. Legal Basis
Strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies are used where they are required to provide a digital service expressly requested by the visitor. Consent is not required for these technologies under Section 25(2) TDDDG.
Where strictly necessary technologies involve the processing of personal data, the applicable legal basis is generally Article 6(1)(b) GDPR or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Analytics and other non-essential cookies are only used after the visitor has given consent. The legal bases are Section 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Consent can be withdrawn at any time through the Cookie Preferences control available at the bottom of the Website.
4. Types of Cookies We Use
4.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies and Storage Technologies
These technologies are required for the secure and proper operation of the Website. They cannot be disabled through the Website’s cookie preferences. All technologies listed below are provided by Squarespace.
_dd_cookie_test and _dd_site_test: Test whether the browser supports cookies. They expire immediately.
_dd_s: Helps identify and diagnose browser errors. It expires after 4 hours.
Crumb: Protects forms and requests against cross-site request forgery. It expires at the end of the browser session.
Test: Tests whether cookies are supported and helps prevent errors. It expires at the end of the browser session.
ss_performancecookiesAllowed and ss_marketingcookiesAllowed: Store the visitor’s selected cookie preferences. They expire after 30 days.
CART and hasCart: Store shopping-cart status when the online shop is used. They expire after 2 weeks.
CHECKOUT_WEBSITE and Commerce-checkout-state: Support the checkout and payment process. They expire at the end of the browser session.
orderStatusSessionToken: Authenticates access to an order-status page. It expires after 1 year.
siteUserCrumb, SiteUserInfo, and SiteUserSecureAuthToken: Protect, identify, and authenticate visitors who create or sign in to a customer account. They expire after 3 years.
squarespace-video-player-options: Stores the viewer’s selected volume, playback speed, and video-quality preferences for videos uploaded directly to Squarespace. This information is stored persistently in the browser’s local storage.
Some of these technologies are only used when the corresponding feature, such as the shopping cart, checkout, customer account, order-status page, or video player, is accessed.
4.2 Analytics Cookies
With the visitor’s consent, Squarespace Analytics may use the following cookies to measure visits and understand how the Website is used:
ss_cid, ss_cpvisit, and ss_cvr: Identify unique visitors and sessions. They expire after 2 years.
ss_cvisit and ss_cvt: Record the current visit. They expire after 30 minutes.
These cookies are not placed unless the visitor accepts performance and analytics cookies.
5. Advertising and Marketing Cookies
No advertising system, advertising pixel, behavioural profiling tool, or dedicated cross-site advertising technology, such as Google Ads or the Meta Pixel, is intentionally integrated into the Website at present.
The Squarespace cookie-preference interface may nevertheless display a marketing-cookie category. The necessary cookie ss_marketingcookiesAllowed only records the visitor’s selected preference. It does not itself create an advertising profile.
If advertising or marketing technologies are introduced in the future, this Cookie Policy will be updated and the relevant technologies will only be activated after consent has been obtained.
6. Squarespace
The Website is hosted and operated using services provided by Squarespace, Inc. Squarespace provides the technical infrastructure, security functions, analytics, forms, and online-shop functionality.
Further information about Squarespace cookies is available at:
https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001264507-The-cookies-Squarespace-uses
Further information about the processing of personal data by Squarespace is provided in the Privacy Policy.
7. External Services and Links
The Website may contain links to external websites and social-media platforms. Merely displaying a standard external link does not normally cause the external provider to place cookies through this Website. Once a visitor follows the link, the external provider’s own privacy and cookie policies apply.
Some blog posts display static map images hosted through Squarespace. Displaying these images does not establish a connection with Google. A connection with Google is only established when the visitor follows the link to open the interactive map in Google Maps. Google’s own privacy and cookie policies then apply.
The Website does not currently use third-party map or video embeds that load automatically.
If additional embedded third-party services are introduced, this Cookie Policy will be updated and those services will only be activated in accordance with the applicable consent requirements.
8. Managing Cookie Preferences
Visitors can accept, reject, or manage non-essential cookies through the cookie banner.
Preferences can subsequently be changed through the Cookie Preferences control available at the bottom of the Website.
Cookies can also be deleted or blocked through the browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Website, including shopping-cart or checkout functions, from working correctly.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
9. Changes to This Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy may be updated if the Website’s functions, integrations, or legal requirements change. The current version and its revision date will be published on this page.
